In a New Year's address on Feb. 2, 2025, Cho Hyun-bum, chairman of Korea & Company Group, said, “Let’s not rest on our laurels but continue to engage in proactive challenges unique to the group.”

In a video message distributed to over 24,000 global employees that day, Cho said, “The most dangerous thing is the attitude of avoiding change,” adding, “Let’s focus more on our goal of becoming a global high-tech group.”

In particular, Cho emphasized proactive innovation. He suggested tackling new challenges together in a situation where the demand for strong innovation has intensified due to market uncertainty.

Regarding last year's results, he noted, “While there are positive results such as good performance and the acquisition of Hanon Systems, evaluations from shareholders and stakeholders are still not sufficient,” urging, “Let’s not be satisfied or relieved by such results.”

He continued, “The rapid growth of Chinese automobile brands and the dynamic changes in the global finished vehicle market are inevitable,” emphasizing, “Let’s shake off any sense of relief or anxiety and remember that we are always aiming for the top.”

Cho urged three key tasks: ▲ strengthening sustainable research and development (R&D) capabilities ▲ accelerating group-level digital transformation with artificial intelligence (AI) and data-driven strategies ▲ strengthening proactive capabilities.

Cho said, “Let’s constantly innovate our products and services R&D and become leaders in the future mobility ecosystem,” adding, “Through the repetition of proactive challenges that involve retrying even after failures and ultimately finding solutions, let’s create a distinct difference from other corporations and focus on our customers.”

He added, “The employees of Korea & Company Group are at the center of 'Innovation Realized' and I hope that in 2025, we can showcase the value of a global high-tech group through Collaboration, Communication, and Creation, the 3Cs, and solve challenges together.”
