On that day, Kim Yi-bae, the representative of Jeju Air, met with the bereaved families on the second floor of Muan Airport, where he shared this information. In response to a family member's concern, who said, 'Handling the aftermath of the accident is not something that can be resolved in a day or two, and some family members are in urgent need of financial support. Is there a plan for this?' Kim replied, 'We are preparing in the form of assistance funds.' He noted that he would discuss the specific scope and amount of support through the council.

Regarding the comment that 'Jeju Air stated it would support memorial service expenses for 1 to 5 years,' Kim clarified, 'That was a mistake made by the staff and there was a misunderstanding.' He added, 'There have been requests regarding memorial services from the council as well. We have a funeral support confirmation letter prepared with the council, so please wait for that first.' The confirmation letter states that Jeju Air will support direct and indirect expenses related to the funeral, lodging, and transportation.

When asked about the specific duration of the memorial service expense support, Kim stated, 'I currently do not know if there is a system that guarantees lifelong support at the memorial hall,' and he requested understanding, saying, 'It is difficult to speak on the specific duration of support at this time.' He also promised, 'We will activate the maximum support system for all ongoing processes and do our best.'
