SK Group announced on the 16th that it held a delivery ceremony for the "SK Happy Sharing Kimjang" at the social enterprise Happy Narae, created by SK. SK plans to purchase 27,000 packages of kimjang kimchi made by three social enterprises and deliver them to 600 social welfare institutions and 2,600 vulnerable households nationwide through the Food Sharing Movement Council.

In particular, considering the increased number of neighbors finding it difficult to prepare winter kimjang due to soaring raw material prices for cabbage, red pepper powder, and others, the volume of donations has been increased by about 10% compared to the previous year (25,000 packages).

Attending the delivery ceremony were Kim Kwon-tae, representative of Okgwa Delicious Kimchi, Yun Jong-sun, representative of the Food Sharing Movement Council, Deok-un, a monk from the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, Ji Dong-seop, SV chairman of SK Supereux Pursuit Council, and Park Jae-han, representative of Happy Narae. The three social enterprises that directly made the kimjang kimchi for the underprivileged added significance by donating a portion of their revenue from the event.

"SK Happy Sharing Kimjang" is a representative community service activity of SK that has been consistently conducted for the past 29 years. Since 1996, SK has been delivering kimjang kimchi, made by group members, to vulnerable communities.

Since 2015, SK changed the method of distribution from large-scale events attended by group members to purchasing kimchi produced by social enterprises and delivering it to neighbors. This change allows social enterprises producing kimchi to gain opportunities for increasing awareness and sales, while also revitalizing the local economy through the use of domestic ingredients and employment of local residents.

Since 2022, SK Stoa has been supporting the promotion and sale of kimchi from social enterprises participating in the kimjang sharing through special home shopping broadcasts.

Ji Dong-seop, SV chairman of the SK Supereux Pursuit Council, noted, "We will actively support efforts to ensure that the helping hands to our neighbors in need continue throughout society," adding, "We will constantly seek ways to create synergistic support with social enterprises."
