Maeil Dairies announced on the 14th that it will recall some products of Maeil Milk Original UHT 200ml due to quality abnormalities.
Maeil Dairies noted the previous day (13th) on its website, “After inspecting facilities and processes to identify the cause, it was confirmed that a small amount of cleaning water was mixed into the product due to a work error during equipment cleaning, prompting a proactive decision to carry out a voluntary recall.”
The recalled items are products manufactured at the Gwangju factory with a consumption date of February 16, 2024. It appears that there are no abnormalities in other sold Maeil Milk Original products.
Maeil Dairies said, “We apologize for this incident” and “We promise to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of consumers and maintain product quality moving forward.”
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety issued a recall and sales suspension order for Maeil Dairies Original products with a manufacturing date of September 19 and a consumption date of February 16, 2025.
