In celebration of the first anniversary of HMGICS, this town hall meeting was directly proposed by Chairman Chung and attended by executives, including Jang Jae-hoon, president; Jung Jun-cheol, vice president of the manufacturing division; Park Hyun-seong, head of HMGICS; and Alpehs Patel, Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) of HMGICS, along with over 300 employees.

Chairman Chung said to employees aspiring to grow as future leaders, "There are various roles and qualities that a leader must possess, but the most fundamental are curiosity and listening." He added, "Having the attitude to dive deep with curiosity, strive to explore and understand is necessary, and if you listen to others’ opinions and try to solve their problems in the various groups you currently belong to, including the company and your family, you will become a good colleague, family member, and friend."

After the employee inquiries concluded, he emphasized, "Next year, many more challenges await us, but we can overcome these challenges and exceed expectations because of talents like you and the vision of 'progress for humanity.'"

HMGICS is a testbed where Hyundai Motor Group researches and demonstrates future mobility based on 'business innovation' through technology innovation based on an intelligent, automated manufacturing platform, manufacturing innovation centered on a flexible production system with multiple varieties, and establishing sales models based on customer experience. It is located in the Jurong Innovation District in western Singapore and was completed last November, producing the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and autonomous robo-taxis.

In particular, it plays a role in developing and demonstrating a human-centered manufacturing system that integrates cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), IT, and robotics. This manufacturing platform is expected to be gradually expanded to domestic and international electric vehicle (EV) dedicated factories, including Hyundai Motor Group MetaPlant America (HMGMA).
