Toss Mobile, the telecommunications subsidiary of Viva Republica (Toss), announced on the 6th that it has obtained Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification from the Korea Internet Security Agency (KISA).

ISMS is a nationally recognized certification that proves whether measures and activities for the protection of corporate information are in accordance with established standards. KISA certifies based on the joint notification standards of the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Personal Information Protection Commission. To obtain certification, it is necessary to meet 80 criteria, including establishing and operating management systems and protection requirement measures.

This certification is a proactive achievement ahead of the mandatory acquisition of ISMS certification for budget mobile operators. Toss Mobile has undergone assessments not only to establish a management system but also to address risk management, physical security, and accident prevention and response.

Going forward, Toss Mobile plans to strengthen its system to preemptively block security threats and to prioritize the protection of customer information, aiming to become a more trusted corporation. A Toss Mobile official noted, "We will further enhance our information protection system through this ISMS certification and will steadily grow as a corporation that protects customer safety and trust."
