Kang Seok-hoon, chairman of the Korea Development Bank, said on the 2nd, 'We will secure the core competitiveness responsible for the future food of South Korea and become the spearhead leading our economy's resurgence.'

On that day, Kang held an inauguration ceremony for 2025 at the main auditorium of the headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, with employees in attendance, and noted in his New Year's address, 'We will formally activate the South Korea Rebound Program, which will provide a total of 100 trillion won in financial support to high-tech strategic industries over the next three years.'

Kang presented the goals for the year for the Korea Development Bank as 'supporting high-tech strategic industries,' 'establishing a stable revenue base,' 'creating a culture of growth and enjoyment in the workplace,' and 'enhancing crisis response capabilities and timely action.' He emphasized, 'This year, we must focus on the four goals to carry on the miracles that the South Korean economy has shown so far and to discover new growth engines.'

Kang also raised the need to strengthen organizational capabilities. He stated, 'To respond to changes in the new environment and understand future new technologies and industries, it is necessary to enhance employee capabilities, such as improving expertise in artificial intelligence (AI).' He added, 'Let's create an efficient and enjoyable organization through initiatives like going paperless and introducing generative AI in the office.'

Kang changed the Korea Development Bank's corporate identity from 'KDB Korea Development Bank' to 'Korea Development Bank' on that day. He remarked, 'Let 2025 be the year when all customers and citizens can feel the effects of the policy finance of the Korea Development Bank, working together as one heart.'
