Kyobo Securities announced on the 31st that it has carried out organizational restructuring and personnel changes as part of changes and innovations aimed at entering the comprehensive financial investment company (investment company) market with over 3 trillion won in capital. This is to respond to changes in the business environment and strengthen the organization’s continuous growth.
This organizational restructuring established a new asset management division to efficiently strengthen related sales. While integrating the real estate-related headquarters, it increased synergies in liability capital market (DCM) and venture capital (VC) operations, and enhanced the competitiveness of asset management and product sales more than before.
First, an asset management division was established to concurrently manage and operate the Wealth Management (WM) headquarters and Investment Product Service (IPS) headquarters. Kyobo Securities plans to strengthen its retail channels and customer base by building an efficient linkage operation system between 'retail Biz-asset management Biz' and aims to target digital customers to provide new asset management services.
The institutional sector of corporations integrated the Structured Finance Headquarters and Investment Banking Headquarters into a Structured Investment Banking Headquarters to secure continuous revenue-generating capabilities and promote organizational operational revitalization. It also relocated the DCM headquarters to enhance linked sales for corporate bonds and securitized products. Furthermore, the responsibility for VC business was assigned under the institutional sector of corporations to strengthen synergies in improving management systems due to the expansion of VC business areas and promoting the commercialization of digital assets.
The Sales and Trading (S&T) institutional sector established a Fixed Income Solutions (FIS) headquarters to broaden asset management and product sales business areas and strengthen execution capabilities. Under the FIS headquarters, alternatives investment solutions and multi-asset solutions were placed for effective integrated management to enhance profitability.
A Risk Strategy Department was newly established to strengthen internal control capabilities through efficient allocation and operation of risk resources. This department will formulate strategies for overall risk management.
A Kyobo Securities official noted, “Next year, we will establish the management policy of ‘accelerating growth through strengthening business competitiveness and ensuring internal control’ and pursue sustainable growth through the dual-management of the Kyobo Group.”
