According to the Financial Supervisory Service electronic disclosure system on the 30th, Geumyang released a correction notice regarding the delay in the completion of the ‘Dongbusan E-Park secondary battery’ plant.

Originally, Geumyang had planned to complete the Gijang plant by the 31st, but they have changed their plan to complete the remaining payment by May 31 of next year. The types of batteries to be produced have also been changed from ‘4680 and 21700 cylindrical batteries’ to ‘4695 and 21700 cylindrical batteries.’

Dongbu Construction, which is building the plant, stated on the same day, 'Negotiations are ongoing with the client (Geumyang) regarding the construction contract.' The end date of the contract was not specified. The construction payment has been changed to be made in accordance with the progress of the construction.

Geumyang announced last August that it would build a secondary battery manufacturing plant with a total floor area of 124,479 square meters (㎡) in the ‘Dongbusan E-Park General Industrial Complex A1 BL’ area in Jang-an-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan. The groundbreaking ceremony was also held in September of last year.
