Toss Securities announced on the 30th that it will start a dollar remittance service to enhance the convenience of U.S. investments for its customers.
With this service, Toss Securities customers will be able to transfer funds without converting dollars to won. Previously, Toss Securities customers had to convert dollars to won in their other accounts and then reconvert them to dollars to send money to their Toss Securities dollar accounts. The same process applied when sending dollars.
With the introduction of this service, customers can transfer dollars to their Toss Securities dollar accounts by sending dollars, and when receiving dollars from other accounts, they can bring in dollars to move funds without converting to won.
The dollar bringing in can be used with the virtual account linked to Hana Bank associated with this service. If dollars are deposited into the virtual account with the account number, they will be immediately confirmed in the Toss Securities account. The deposit hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A representative from Toss Securities noted, "We started the dollar remittance service by reflecting feedback from users wishing to transfer dollars to Toss Securities, which will allow for easier movement of dollar assets, enhancing convenience for U.S. investments."
