Kang Tae-young (photo), vice president of NongHyup Capital, has been appointed as a candidate for the next CEO of NongHyup Bank.

NongHyup Financial Group noted on the morning of the 20th that it held a board member candidate recommendation committee meeting and recommended Vice President Kang as the next CEO candidate for NongHyup Bank. Vice President Kang is known to be close to Kang Ho-dong, chairman of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation. Vice President Kang graduated from Daeyang High School in Jinju, Gyeongnam, and the Department of Animal Science at Konkuk University, and joined the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation in 1991. Current CEO Lee Seok-yong will complete his two-year term at the end of this year.

The recommendation committee of NongHyup Financial on this day recommended Park Byeong-hee, vice president of NongHyup Life, as the representative of NongHyup Life, and Song Chun-soo, former vice president of NongHyup Property and Casualty Insurance, as the representative of NongHyup Property and Casualty Insurance.

Jang Jong-hwan, senior managing director of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, was recommended as the representative of NongHyup Capital, and Kim Jang-seob, former vice president of NongHyup Life, was recommended as the representative of NH Savings Bank. Kim Hyun-jin, CEO of NH Venture Investment, was reappointed.

The candidates recommended on this day will undergo qualification verification and examination by the company-specific candidate recommendation committees or boards of directors within this month, and will be finally appointed at the shareholders' meeting. The term will be two years starting from January next year.

The successor to Lee Seok-jun, chairman of NongHyup Financial, is expected to be decided next week.
