The Financial Services Commission noted that it held a meeting of the Certified Public Accountant Qualification and Disciplinary Committee and decided to reduce the exam fee for certified public accountants by 50% for vulnerable groups (50000 won → 25000 won) on the 18th. The fee reduction will apply starting with the first certified public accountant exam scheduled for February 2025.
For candidates classified as vulnerable, if they pay the full exam fee during the application period for the first and second exams and upload proof of eligibility for the fee reduction to the certified public accountant exam website, the authenticity will be verified, and 50% of the exam fee will be reimbursed within two months.
Documents to prove vulnerability include certificates for basic livelihood recipients, certificates for legally recognized low-income groups, certificates for pension recipients with disabilities, and certificates for single-parent family support subjects. Proof documents are only valid if issued in the applicant's name and must be issued within one month from the start date of the exam application period.
