Naver Pay has announced on the 17th that it has introduced a voice notification feature for its QR payment transfer service.

Launched in April, the QR payment transfer service is a free service that allows customers to easily send money by photographing the dedicated QR code presented by the store with their mobile device. Naver Pay explained that it reflects the voices of small business owners, who find it difficult to confirm whether the transfer was completed properly, by sending mobile notifications and providing voice guidance on the transaction history.

Naver Pay also noted that it has unveiled a "Bungeoppang Map" that guides users to stores where they can conveniently pay for bungeoppang using QR codes. Naver Pay users can access information such as the location of bungeoppang shops, business hours, and days off. As of the start date of the service on the morning of the 16th, Naver Pay reported that 300 stores were registered in areas including Seoul, Bundang, and Daejeon.

A Naver Pay official said, "The QR payment transfer service has been enhanced to be safer and more convenient by blocking tampering with the transfer completion screen and increasing font size for readability," adding, "We will continue to make practical and diverse efforts to empower small business owners."
