Meritz Financial Group said on the 12th that Kim Jong-min, vice president of Meritz Securities, has been promoted to president through executive appointments.

Kim was born in 1972, graduated from Sogang University with a degree in economics, and completed a master's program at Sogang University Business School. He then joined Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance after working at Samsung Securities' FICC product team. Since 2014, he has overseen various investment areas, including domestic real estate project financing, overseas alternative investments, and corporate loans, as the head of asset management at Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance.

Recognized for quickly growing the assets of Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance, Kim has also been serving as vice president of the Meritz Financial Holding Group's institutional sector since November of last year, and he was appointed representative of corporate finance and management at Meritz Securities in July.

At Meritz Securities, the corporate finance and management divisions are led by Representative Kim, while the Sales & Trading and retail sectors are headed by Representative Jang Won-jae.
