Actress Park Jung-soo revealed her love story with her common-law partner, Director Jeong Eul-young. Park appeared in the preview of SBS's 'Solemnly Cast Off the Shoes' that aired on the 25th.

In the video, Park mentioned her husband, Director Jeong Eul-young. Director Jeong is known as the father of actor Jung Kyung-ho and is renowned for his common-law relationship with Park Jung-soo. Park stated that she became involved with Director Jeong after appearing in the drama 'Who Is My Love,' and reminisced about how they became a couple, saying, "I defied Director Jeong during the filming. He said it was the first time he saw someone defy him," adding that he remarked it was nice to see someone confident rather than annoying.

At that moment, actress Song Sun-mi, who appeared as a guest, noted, "Director Jeong Eul-young told me that he really thought I was beautiful, saying 'I feel good just by looking at Sun-mi.'" Upon hearing this, Park Jung-soo showed a surprised expression, eliciting laughter.

In 2023, Park also shared her love story with Director Jeong Eul-young on Channel A's 'Close Friends Documentary: Four-Person Table.'

At that time, Park revealed that before dating Director Jeong Eul-young, they had disagreements while working together. Park said, "Acting can feel different for the director than for me. I told him, 'I get Botox, so I don't wrinkle much.' And he responded with, 'Why do you get Botox?'" mentioning that they had a fierce argument.

Additionally, she shared, "The staff said, 'Director Jeong likes Park Jung-soo.' After filming, he asked to buy me a meal. Even if I said no, he insisted on 'a Japanese meal.' He showed up in a neat suit. I had only seen him in shabby clothes before. I went out in training clothes," revealing the connections they made outside of work. Park continued, "While fighting, I think affection developed. When those around me said, 'It seems like you like him,' I started to wonder if I did. They say love ends in 3-4 years, but that hasn't happened. Even now, he is very sweet to me. I can't keep up with his rhythm," expressing her enduring affection, adding, "He is someone with charm that makes it impossible not to love. I think it was fate. It would be tough without that person."

She also mentioned that Director Jeong Eul-young is more affectionate than her, even taking care of the weather and her health on the days she is filming. Furthermore, regarding the marriage registration, she expressed, "It should be done as late as possible. Remarriage requires careful consideration. Marriage involves more than just two people; families become intertwined."

Park Jung-soo married a non-celebrity husband in 1975 and divorced in 1997. Twelve years after her divorce, in 2009, she acknowledged her relationship with Director Jeong Eul-young in an interview with the media. However, it is known that they continue to maintain a common-law relationship without marriage registration.
