The current status of Seungri (Lee Seung-hyun), formerly of the group Big Bang, who was released after serving a prison sentence for the Burning Sun incident, has been revealed.

Recently, a video depicting Seungri's current situation was uploaded on social media (SNS) and online communities. Seungri is seen meeting with investors at an overseas exhibition. He is dressed in a suit, wearing glasses, and has a fuller appearance than before. The poster wrote, “Making more money than G-Dragon.”

Seungri was identified as a key figure in the Burning Sun gate in 2019 and withdrew from the team. He was indicted in Jan. the following year and enlisted, going through trials in the military court for the first and second instances. He was sentenced to three years in prison in the first instance trial by the military court and was confined to the military prison. The sentence was reduced to 1 year and 6 months in the second instance. He was transferred to Yeoju Prison, a civilian correctional facility, after being reclassified as an auxiliary military worker.

In May 2022, the Supreme Court found Seungri guilty of all nine charges, including habitual gambling, prostitution, solicitation of prostitution, violation of the Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act, the Food Sanitation Act, embezzlement in the course of business, violation of the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement), and instigation of special assault, and confirmed a sentence of 1 year and 6 months. He was released at the end of his sentence in Feb. last year.
