Korea University Medical Center announced on the 24th that it has appointed the heads of three hospitals: Korea University Guro, Ansan, and Anam Hospitals. Min Byeong-wook has been appointed as the new head of Korea University Guro Hospital, Seong Dong-hoon as the head of Korea University Ansan Hospital, and Han Seung-beom has been reappointed as the head of Korea University Anam Hospital. The term will run from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2027.

Han Seung-beom, head of Anam Hospital, born in 1966, graduated from Korea University College of Medicine and obtained a master's and doctoral degree from the same graduate school. A leading figure in knee and hip joint and artificial joint replacement surgery, he was the first in the country to perform artificial joint surgery using navigation technology. He has served as head of the operating room at Korea University Anam Hospital, director of the medical cooperation center, and vice president of clinical affairs, and is currently the head of Anam Hospital. He is also active as the president of the council of advanced general hospitals, chairman of the Korean Orthopaedic Association, a board member of the Korean Hip Society, a board member of the Korean Knee Society, and a board member of the Korean Fracture Society.

Min Byeong-wook, the new head of Guro Hospital, born in 1967, graduated from Korea University College of Medicine and received a master's and doctoral degree from the same graduate school. Recognized as a leading figure in the field of colorectal surgery, he has contributed to the advancement of surgery. He has served as the director of the surgery department, director of the cancer center, and vice president of clinical affairs at Korea University Guro Hospital, helping to improve the surgical treatment system and enhance cancer treatment capabilities.

Seong Dong-hoon, the new head of Ansan Hospital, born in 1970, also graduated from Korea University College of Medicine and earned his master's and doctoral degrees from the same graduate program. He is recognized for his expertise in the treatment of severe trauma, including hip disorders and pelvic and femoral fractures. He has served as head of external cooperation at Korea University Medical Center, head of the medical cooperation center at Korea University Ansan Hospital, and head of public relations, leading communication between the medical center and hospitals.
