Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, visited the joint memorial altar for the victims of the forest fire in Sacheon, Gyeongsangnam-do.
On the 24th, the leader visited the gymnasium of Changnyeong-gun, where the joint memorial altar for three forest firefighters and one guiding public official who died in the Sacheon forest fire was set up.
The leader visited the joint memorial altar with Spokesperson Kim Seong-hwa, Supreme Council members Kim Min-seok and Han Joon-ho, Secretary General Lee Hae-sik, Gyeongsangnam-do Party Chair Song Soon-ho, and National Assembly members Kim Jeong-ho, Min Hong-cheol, and Heo Seong-moo. He offered flowers and paid silent tribute to the deceased.
The leader noted, “I express my deep sorrow for the firefighters and public officials who perished while extinguishing the fire, and I extend my condolences to the bereaved families and those affected by this forest fire.”
