Professor Park Hae-mi public ambassador appointment ceremony
Anyang University (President Jang Kwang-soo) announced on the 17th that it has appointed Professor Park Hae-mi, known as the 'Queen of Musicals,' as a public ambassador.
The 'Professor Park Hae-mi public ambassador appointment ceremony' held on the 14th in the Anyang University Faculty Meeting Room was attended by President Jang Kwang-soo, Vice President for External Affairs Jang Yong-cheol, Professor Park Hae-mi of the Global Graduate School K-Content Business Department, Dean Lee Young of the Global Graduate School, Academic Affairs Office Head Kim Su-yeon, Admissions Office Head Sung So-young, Professor Kim Min-joo, Professors Do Hee-sun, Kim Ji-soo, Ham Seok-gil, Department Head Baek Kyung-won of the Music Department, Professor Oh Dong-guk, Professor Choi Jung-hyun, and Professor An Ji-a of the Performing Arts Department, alongside graduate students from the K-Content Business Department and Anyang University HIMM student ambassadors, who congratulated Professor Park on her appointment.
This year, public ambassador Professor Park Hae-mi, who started teaching at Anyang University as a visiting professor in the K-Content Business Department, has appeared in numerous musicals and theater productions, movies, dramas, and sitcoms, including Jesus Christ Superstar, Blue Blind, and Mamma Mia, and has created an original artistic world that transcends genres such as pansori, hip-hop, and modern rock.
Professor Park Hae-mi, known as the 'Queen of Musicals,' has contributed to society through roles such as CEO of Blue Blind and Vice President of the Film Actors Association, while also making significant contributions to the development of Korean culture and arts, including receiving the Korea Culture Award.
Public ambassador Professor Park Hae-mi of the Global Graduate School K-Content Business Department said, “I will do my best to establish a collaboration between the K-Content Business Department and the Blue Blind planning agency by signing an MOU to elevate our status as a global department.”
President Jang Kwang-soo of Anyang University stated, “It is a great pride and honor to have Professor Park Hae-mi, a great actor, director, and educator who is creating an original artistic world, as our university's public ambassador,” adding, “I hope that she will not only provide excellent lectures on vibrant cultural and artistic fields at the K-Content Business Department but also contribute significantly to the development of music and performing arts through promotions for our university and collaboration with the Music Department and Performing Arts Department.”
Anyang University expects that the appointment of Professor Park Hae-mi as a public ambassador for the Global Graduate School K-Content Business Department will significantly contribute to enhancing the university's status as a prestigious institution in the metropolitan area.
