This year's final successful candidates for the Grade 5 national civil service open competitive recruitment and the diplomat candidate selection exam totaled 356. The average age of the successful candidates was 27.6.
The Ministry of Personnel Management said on the 23rd that it released the final list of successful candidates for the Grade 5 national civil service open recruitment and diplomat candidates through the Cyber National Examination Center.
There were 313 successful candidates for the Grade 5 open recruitment, of whom 93 were in science and technology and 220 in administration. Forty-three diplomat candidates passed. Compared with last year, the number of successful candidates increased by 4 in science and technology and decreased by 1 in administration. Diplomat candidates also decreased by 1.
The average age of the successful candidates was 27.3 for science and technology, 27.9 for administration, and 27.2 for diplomat candidates. The youngest successful candidate was 21 (born in 2004), and the oldest was 43 (born in 1982).
Women made up 36.1% of the successful candidates. The share of women was 19.4% in science and technology, 43.2% in administration, and 43.2% among diplomat candidates.
Successful candidates in science and technology and administration must register as recruitment candidates at the Cyber National Examination Center from the 24th to the 30th. Successful diplomat candidates will enroll at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy and, after about one year of training, will be appointed as foreign service officials.
