On Oct. 20, the 25th day since the fire at the National Information Resources Service, half of the government systems were restored. Minister Yoon Ho-jung of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety said, "Starting tomorrow, the 'e-Haneul Funeral Information System' will be restored, allowing online crematorium reservation applications to be used normally."
Minister Yoon said through a Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters meeting on Oct. 20 regarding the national information resources fire, "We are prioritizing the restoration of systems directly connected to public safety and daily life," adding the following. As of 6 a.m. that day, the government system restoration rate was 52.6%.
Minister Yoon said, "With the restoration of the Ministry of Health and Welfare's 'Integrated Management System for Organs, Tissues, and Blood,' surgery schedules for organ transplant patients and blood supply management have normalized," and "With the restoration of the Fire Agency's 'Rescue and Community Safety Activity Information System,' emergency rescue and disaster site response will proceed without disruption."
Yoon said, "We are providing alternative services to prevent any administrative gaps caused by unrecovered systems," and "Complaints to the 'People's Complaint Portal' can be filed through the Si/Gun/Gu Saeol consultation complaint window, and 'Nosa Nuri,' which handles labor-related complaints, is being supported through the Ministry of Employment and Labor's temporary website."
Minister Yoon said, "As the restoration is prolonged, we will carefully manage working conditions and take care to prevent safety accidents caused by unreasonable schedules."
