The Korea Meteorological Administration noted, "As temperatures rise during the day, the maximum perceived temperature is expected to soar to around 35 degrees in most regions across the country," adding, "Particular attention should be paid to health management."
The perceived temperature is showing a distribution of 31 to 36 degrees. As of 11 a.m. that day, the highest perceived temperatures by region are high in Gyeonggi Paju Tan-hyeon (35.7 degrees) and Gangwon Samcheok Deungbong (35.5 degrees). The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted that this heat will intensify further until the weekend. As two hot high-pressure systems continue to envelop the Korean Peninsula, it is expected to particularly heat up the western regions, including the capital area.
