During the first week of applications, a 'day of the week system' based on the last digit of the birth year will be implemented. This is to prevent system overload and crowding at community centers. The consumption coupon will provide 150,000 won per person for citizens, but 300,000 won per person for low-income households and single-parent families, and 400,000 won per person for basic livelihood recipients. Residents in non-metropolitan areas excluding Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi Province will receive an additional 30,000 won, while residents in rural areas experiencing population decline will receive an additional 50,000 won.
The payment method can be selected from credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cards, or local love gift certificates. If you wish to receive payment via credit or debit card, you can apply online through the websites or applications of nine card companies including KB Kookmin, Lotte, NH Nonghyup, Samsung, Shinhan, Woori, Hana, Hyundai, and BC Card. It is also possible through the apps of Kbank, KakaoBank, Toss (Toss Bank), Kakao Pay, and Naver Pay. You can also apply by visiting bank branches linked to the card in person.
If you apply by visiting the administrative welfare center in your local jurisdiction, you can receive the 'paper-type' local love gift certificates or prepaid cards. Local love gift certificates can also be applied for online through the local government's local love gift certificate app or website for your jurisdiction. Since the availability of local love gift certificates or prepaid cards may vary by local government, it is advisable to inquire in advance at the administrative welfare center or similar locations.
Consumption coupons will be issued the day after applying, and the usage period lasts until November 30. Local love gift certificates can only be used at affiliated stores within the local government of the jurisdiction. Residents of special cities and metropolitan cities can use them only within the respective city, while residents of provincial areas can only use them within their respective cities or counties. They can be used at small business establishments with annual sales of 3 billion won or less, excluding certain industries.
Citizens who have objections to the amount paid can file an objection through the National Petition Center website or the administrative welfare center in their locality. The objection filing will also follow the day-of-the-week system during the first week.
