Kong Sang-min, a forecaster at the Korea Meteorological Administration, noted during a regular briefing on the 8th, "A heavy rain warning is expected to be issued for the Jeju area tomorrow," adding, "As the afternoon approaches, a developing low-pressure system is forecasted to move northward, expanding precipitation nationwide."
In particular, on the 9th, heavy rain will pour in Jeju and near the southern coast and Jirisan. Jeju is forecasted to receive 30 to 50 mm per hour, while the southern coast and Jirisan are expected to see 20 mm per hour. This rain is projected to continue until early on the 10th. Light rain is expected in the central region. Strong winds and gusts are anticipated, especially in Gangwon Yeongdong and the metropolitan area.

During this period, there is a high possibility of a strong wind warning being issued for the southern sea off Jeju Island or southern coast. Strong winds are expected to continue in the Gangwon Yeongdong region until the night of the 10th, requiring caution regarding the safety management of facilities.
As the cold air descends during the rain, chilly weather with daytime temperatures 2 to 7 degrees lower than the average is expected to persist until Sunday, the 11th. The lowest temperature on the morning of the 9th is forecasted to be 10 to 15 degrees, while the maximum temperature during the day is expected to be 15 to 20 degrees. In some areas, the daily temperature difference may exceed 15 degrees.
From early next week, warm southwesterly winds are expected to blow in, restoring temperatures to average levels. After some sunny weather, there is a possibility of expanded precipitation mainly in the southern region around the 15th.
