According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, from noon on the 12th until 4 p.m. on the 13th, heavy rainfall occurred in Jeju's Seogwipo with 115.4 mm, Changwon in Gyeongnam with 50.1 mm, Wando in Jeonnam with 48.5 mm, Ulsan with 35.0 mm, and Busan with 33.5 mm. Rainfall was also recorded in Seoul with 19.6 mm, Incheon with 27.8 mm, Daejeon with 17.9 mm, Gwangju with 21.0 mm, and Daegu with 20.7 mm.

Until the night of the 13th, rain or snow is expected to fall in the metropolitan area, inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon, as well as in the northeastern inland and mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk, and there is a high possibility of rain or snow continuing across the country on the 14th. However, there may be regions experiencing a temporary lull in rain during the morning.

In particular, heavy snowfall may concentrate in the mountainous areas of Gangwon during the early hours of the 14th, requiring caution. Currently, a heavy snow advisory is in effect for the northern, central, and southern mountainous regions of Gangwon and the Taebaek area.

Additional expected rainfall until the 14th is predicted to be around 5 to 20 mm nationwide. Additionally, in northern and eastern Gyeonggi, inland Gangwon, northern Chungbuk, southeastern Gyeongbuk and other inland areas, snow accumulation of 1 to 5 cm is expected, while some inland regions may see around 1 cm of snow. In Seoul, Incheon, and the southwestern areas of Gyeonggi, less than 1 cm of snow is expected.

It is not uncommon for snow to fall in the mountainous areas of Gangwon in April. In fact, a heavy snow advisory was issued for some mountainous areas of Gangwon last May. However, in the metropolitan area, it is typical for snow to cease by mid-March, and on April 22, 2020, no snow accumulation was recorded in Seoul, although sleet was observed, marking the latest occurrence of snow.

Winds are expected to be strong. Until the 13th, gusts of wind at speeds of 70 to 90 km/h (20 to 25 m/s) are expected in most regions, while strong winds in Jeju are projected to continue until the night of the 14th. Inland areas, including the metropolitan area, may weaken somewhat, but gusts of wind exceeding 55 km/h (15 m/s) are still anticipated. In particular, there is a possibility of strong winds returning to the coastal areas of Chungnam, Jeonnam, and Gyeongnam starting from the afternoon of the 14th.

On the 13th, in the southern sea and the southern East Sea, strong winds are expected at speeds of 30 to 70 km/h (9 to 20 m/s) on the 14th across the entire West Sea and the central and southern distant sea of the East Sea. Until the 15th, strong winds are also expected in the waters near Jeju and the distant sea of the southern sea and southern East Sea, with wave heights reaching up to 4 to 5 meters.

On the morning of the 14th, temperatures are expected to range from a low of 0 to 9 degrees and a high of 9 to 16 degrees, which is 3 to 8 degrees lower than the average temperature, leading to chilly conditions. Winds are also expected to be strong, making the perceived temperature even lower.

The forecasted low and high temperatures for major cities are as follows: Seoul 4 degrees and 10 degrees, Incheon 3 degrees and 9 degrees, Daejeon 4 degrees and 11 degrees, Gwangju 7 degrees and 12 degrees, Daegu 4 degrees and 14 degrees, Ulsan 6 degrees and 15 degrees, and Busan 9 degrees and 15 degrees. The fine dust concentration across the country on the 14th is anticipated to be at a 'moderate' level.
