Morning commuting temperatures will drop, leading to a final cold snap. With a temperature difference of over 15 degrees, care should be taken regarding health during the seasonal change.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 31st, a cut-off low-pressure system is stagnating in the upper atmosphere, bringing cold air to our country. The cut-off low-pressure system contains northern air, making it cold. The minimum temperature in the morning is forecasted to range from minus 5 degrees to 3 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature in the afternoon is expected to be between 12 and 16 degrees Celsius. This week’s temperatures will be similar to the average (minimum 0 to 8 degrees, maximum 13 to 17 degrees).

For the time being, the atmosphere will be very dry, especially in the Gyeongsang region, eastern Jeolla, Gwangju, inland Chungcheong, southern inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon, eastern Gangwon coast, and the metropolitan area. The Korea Meteorological Administration noted, "Winds will also blow somewhat strongly, which could spread a small spark into a large fire," and advised to refrain from entering forests, burning waste, and setting fire to fields to prevent fires.

On the 2nd of next month, about 5 mm of rain is expected in the metropolitan area, Gangwon, Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Gyeongsang regions. In the mountainous areas of Gangwon, 1 cm of snow will accumulate. Afterward, the weather is projected to become dry again.
