The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that it would issue a dry weather advisory for all of Seoul, effective at 4 p.m. on the 29th.
A dry weather advisory is issued when the moisture content of wood and similar materials is expected to fall below 35% for more than two days. Caution is needed due to the increased risk of wildfires.
The Korea Meteorological Administration also lifted the heavy snowfall advisory for the Pyeongchang plains, effective at 4 p.m. Currently, a dry weather advisory is in effect for the southern mountainous regions of Gangwon, Taebaek, Yeongwol, Jeongseon plains, and Wonju.
A heavy snowfall advisory is issued when more than 5 centimeters of snow is expected to accumulate over a 24-hour period.
In the high mountainous areas of the inland regions of Gyeongnam's northwest and Gyeongnam's western inland, light snow of less than 0.1 centimeters and raindrops of less than 0.1 millimeters fell around 2:30 p.m. while firefighters were wrapping up operations to extinguish wildfires.
It is forecasted that light rain of less than 0.1 millimeters will fall in the western inland of Gyeongnam until 6 p.m.
