Singer Lee Seung-hwan, who was reported to have been accused by the strong supporters of President Yoon Seok-yeol, stated, "There is no case filed against me."
On the 24th, Lee Seung-hwan posted on social media with a photo taken at the police station, saying, "I went to the 'Gangdong Police Station' near the company to inquire about the case, wanting to undergo an investigation quickly, but they said there is not a single case filed under my name."
Lee Seung-hwan conveyed, "I mentioned that they seemed to have written my resident registration number incorrectly, but they say there is absolutely nothing under my name."
He added, "They said that everything about going to the United States and the immigration certificate is all a lie; so why is their fabrication so diverse and generous?" He went on to say, "File the complaint quickly today. I'm upset, really."
He also revealed a receipt indicating he filed a defamation complaint against them at the Songpa Police Station. Lee Seung-hwan explained, "There are a total of five defendants," adding, "Dream Factory will pursue this to the end." Dream Factory is the management company operated by Lee Seung-hwan.
Lee Seung-hwan has consistently revealed his political stance over the years and publicly criticized President Yoon Seok-yeol following the declaration of a state of emergency. In December of last year, he even took the stage at a rally calling for President Yoon's impeachment.
During the rally regarding the impeachment motion, some far-right netizens who support President Yoon filed a complaint with the CIA against celebrities who expressed support for impeachment, and Lee Seung-hwan was noted as a representative among them.
Last month, a conflict arose between far-right netizens concerning Lee Seung-hwan’s entry into the United States. Netizens believed that the CIA would prevent those celebrities from entering or exiting the U.S. However, Lee Seung-hwan posted photos taken in the U.S. during his nephew's wedding last month, stating, "I was not banned from entering due to the CIA or HTML," thereby clarifying that there were no issues regarding his travel to and from the U.S. This led to some claims that Lee Seung-hwan had doctored the photos, and a foreign YouTuber gained attention by posting a video titled, "Seung-hwan, do you want to bet with me?"
A representative identified as A and another as B from the Maryland Law Research Institute also stated that they would file a complaint against Lee Seung-hwan for forgery of public documents. Lee Seung-hwan himself publicly shared these complaints on his social media, adding the phrase, "Complaints are welcome."
