The Jeonju District Prosecutor's Office Criminal Division 3 (Director General Bae Sang-yun) announced on the 25th that Da-hye has been registered as a suspect after being switched from a witness to a suspect for bribery charges.

According to the prosecution, a civic group filed a complaint with the Jongno Police Station in Seoul last November, naming Da-hye as the accused.

The complaint reportedly claimed that the former son-in-law of President Moon, Seo Mo, secured employment at Thai Skyjet, and that the family relocated to Thailand, indicating a direct bribery relationship between former President Moon and Da-hye.

With the filing of the complaint, Da-hye has legally become the accused and suspect and has been registered. Subsequently, the Jongno Police Station and the Jeonju District Prosecutor's Office have explained that they received the details of the case around the end of last month through mutual consultation.

Accordingly, the possibility of the prosecution speeding up the investigation of Da-hye, who has continued to emphasize her status as a witness and refused to cooperate with the prosecution, has increased.

A prosecution official said, “The conversion of Da-hye to suspect status was not due to the filing of the complaint,” adding, “Investigations concerning Da-hye are currently under review, and there are no confirmed details or announcements available.”

The prosecution is also conducting ongoing consultations regarding the investigation of former President Moon, who is a suspect in bribery. The prosecution reported that they specified former President Moon as a suspect in the warrant while searching Da-hye's home in Seoul on Aug. 30 last year.

A prosecution official stated, “We are conducting multifaceted discussions to investigate (former President Moon). It is difficult to provide further specifics.”

The prosecution is investigating whether there was any quid pro quo regarding the employment of Moon's former son-in-law, Seo Mo, at Thai Skyjet. The prosecution believes that after Seo's employment, Da-hye moved to Thailand and that the Blue House provided financial conveniences for her relocation.
