On Tuesday, the 25th, dry weather with strong winds will continue. Special caution is needed as wildfires spread in the Gangwon region. The level of fine dust is still high, so health precautions should be taken when going outside.

The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted on the 24th that “the atmosphere will be very dry, except for the coastal and southern mountainous areas of Gangwon with dry weather warnings, as well as the eastern regions of Chungbuk, Jecheon, Danyang, Gwangju and eastern Jeolla, parts of the Yeongnam region excluding Busan and the southern coast, and Jeju.”

A mobile high-pressure system is maintaining its position south of Japan, while a low-pressure system is passing north of the Korean Peninsula, causing strong winds. The Gangwon East Coast and mountains are under a strong wind warning until the night of the 24th. Strong winds are expected in the remaining regions as well.

Temperatures are expected to be 3 to 11 degrees higher than the average until the 26th. For the 25th and 26th, daytime temperatures in most areas are expected to exceed 20 degrees.

Nationwide, the minimum temperature on the morning of the 25th is expected to be between 5 and 13 degrees, while the maximum temperature during the day will be between 15 and 26 degrees.

The expected minimum temperatures in major cities are as follows: Seoul 8 degrees, Incheon 6 degrees, Daejeon 10 degrees, Gwangju and Ulsan 9 degrees, Daegu 10 degrees, Busan 11 degrees. The maximum temperatures are expected to be 20 degrees in Seoul, 15 degrees in Incheon, 24 degrees in Daejeon, 24 degrees in Gwangju and Ulsan, 25 degrees in Daegu, and 19 degrees in Busan.

The level of fine dust is expected to reach a 'bad' level nationwide. With fine dust from outside unable to disperse, domestic fine dust is expected to increase. In particular, as additional fine dust from abroad enters at night, air quality is expected to be poor all day on the 25th. In some areas, fine dust concentrations will rise to a 'very bad' level.

Rain is forecasted between the 26th and 27th. Rain is expected to start in Jeju in the late afternoon of the 26th, then expand to Busan and the southern coast on the same day, and subsequently across the country. This rain is expected to continue nationwide until the afternoon of the 27th.
