At about 1:46 a.m. on the 23rd, a fire broke out in a vehicle parked in the first-floor parking lot of a villa in Wonmi District, Bucheon.
According to the firefighting authority, a man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, died in the fire.
The firefighting authority dispatched more than 40 firefighters and 20 pieces of equipment, including pump trucks, and brought the fire under control within 16 minutes.
A firefighting official noted, "The residents of the villa evacuated on their own after the vehicle fire," adding, "We suspect it was arson and are investigating the cause of the fire."
