As heavy snow falls across the country, the Korea Meteorological Administration issued heavy snow warnings for various regions from the 17th to the 18th.

As of 12:30 a.m. on the 18th, areas under heavy snow warnings include the entire metropolitan area of Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon, as well as Sejong, Daejeon, Gangwon (Cheorwon, Hwacheon, Chuncheon), Chungbuk (Cheongju, Jincheon, Eumseong, Jeungpyeong), Chungnam (Asan, Yesan, Dangjin, Seosan, Hongseong, Cheonan, Gongju, Cheongyang, Nonsan, Geumsan, Buyeo, Seocheon, Gyeryong), Jeonbuk (Gunsan, Gimje, Wanju, Iksan, Jeongeup, Jeonju), and the five islands of the Yellow Sea.

A heavy snow warning is issued when more than 5 cm of snow is expected to accumulate over 24 hours. Caution should be exercised for driving and walking in snowy conditions.
