A YouTuber posted a threatening message aimed at Acting Chief Justice Moon Hyung-bae and unspecified individuals, which prompted a police report, but it appears he continued his activities in front of the Constitutional Court.
According to the police on the 15th, a report was received the previous day at the Seoul Western Police Station and others regarding a threat to kill Acting Chief Justice Moon and unspecified individuals. The author, a man in his 40s identified as A, included in his YouTube channel's information section, "I will risk my life to fight for President Yoon Suk-yeol's return to duty" and "If our Yoon-ka (President Yoon) returns to duty, my role is over. If that cannot happen, I will kill a few people and commit suicide by self-immolation."
On the 13th, he also posted a message saying, "I will disguise myself and kill him cruelly when Acting Chief Justice Moon is doing something strange." This type of message was captured and spread in online communities.
On the morning of that day, A conducted a live broadcast while moving back and forth in front of the barricades set up by the police at the main gate of the Constitutional Court. His YouTube channel mainly featured videos showing protests near the Constitutional Court and at the apartment where Acting Chief Justice Moon is presumed to reside, arguing against the dismissal of the impeachment trial against President Yoon.
Previously, A was arrested in the act on the 23rd of last month for damaging police barricades in front of the Constitutional Court (damage to public property, etc.). The police applied for an arrest warrant, but it was dismissed by the court.
