On Wednesday, the 12th, dust storms are expected to move southeast along the northwestern air current, beginning to influence the West Sea 5 Islands and the western coast of Gyeonggi in the afternoon, gradually spreading nationwide overnight.
The fine dust concentration is expected to be at 'bad' levels in the capital region and Chungnam, while other areas are expected to see 'normal' levels. Sejong, Chungbuk, Busan, Daegu, and Ulsan will also experience 'bad' levels briefly in the morning.
Most of the central and western regions will see residual fine dust and domestically generated fine dust accumulate due to stagnant air in the morning, but the concentration will decrease during the day as the air circulates, although it is expected to increase again at night due to the inflow of foreign fine dust and yellow dust.
The nationwide weather will be generally cloudy, but the central region will gradually clear up from night. The morning low will be between 0 and 8 degrees, while the daytime high will range from 10 to 17 degrees, which is higher than usual for this time of year. In particular, morning temperatures will be more than 5 degrees higher than the average in most areas.
In the afternoon, occasional rain is expected in the capital region and inland mountainous areas of Gangwon, as well as Jeju Island from afternoon until evening. The expected precipitation is less than 5 mm in Jeju and the West Sea 5 Islands, and around 1 mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, and the inland mountainous areas of Gangwon. Between morning and evening, there may be spots with less than 0.1 mm of raindrops in Chungnam and Jeolla provinces, and also in Chungbuk from afternoon until evening.
Strong winds are expected in Gangwon Yeongdong from the morning, with瞬时 wind speeds around 15 m/s (approximately 20 m/s in mountainous areas). The sea waves are forecasted to be between 0.5 and 1.5 m in the East Sea, and between 0.5 and 1.0 m in the West and South Seas. In the inner offshore area (about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are predicted to be 0.5 to 2.5 m in the East Sea, 0.5 to 1.5 m in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 m in the South Sea.
