On the 25th, President Yoon Suk Yeol said in the final statement of the impeachment trial, "If I return to office, I plan to focus on amending the Constitution and promoting political reform in the latter half of my term to align the 87 system with our needs and pass on a proper nation to future generations." He revealed his future plans based on the premise of the dismissal of the impeachment. The 87 system referred to by President Yoon indicates the constitutional system of South Korea after the direct presidential election amendment in 1987.

President Yoon further stated, "I will do my best to improve the 87 system, considering constitutional amendment and political reform as my final mission, without being overly concerned about the remainder of my term." This was interpreted as suggesting the possibility of a "term shortening amendment."

President Yoon also mentioned, "I am considering allocating a lot of authority to the Prime Minister for domestic issues while focusing on foreign relations." This was understood as a way to operate the government by decentralizing authority to the Prime Minister, contrary to the current presidential system, which has been criticized for concentrating all power in the President and labeled as "a presidential system with king-like authority." At the same time, it was interpreted as referencing the possibility of "a dual executive system amendment."

Additionally, President Yoon said, "I will make every effort to achieve national unity during the process of constitutional amendment and political reform." He also stated, "I believe that if the constitutional amendment and political reform are carried out correctly, the divided and fragmented people will be unified in the process. If that happens, there would be no reason to be concerned about the remaining term under the current Constitution, and I think it would rather be a great honor for me."

He added, "Although I have been working on regional, generational, and class integration through the National Unity Committee in the first half of my term, I will continue to strive to unite the people and enhance the overall synergy of the nation."
