On Monday, the 24th, the cold weather will continue, accompanied by strong winds. In the morning, snow or rain is expected in regions such as Jeolla and Jeju.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 23rd, the morning low temperatures across the country on the 24th will be between minus 12 degrees to minus 2 degrees, and the daytime high temperatures will be between 3 degrees to 8 degrees, which is lower than the average. Temperatures are expected to gradually rise from Tuesday, the 25th, recovering to average levels.

Until the 24th, strong winds are expected in most areas of the country, with particularly high momentary wind speeds of around 55 km/h (15 m/s) on the 25th, especially in the eastern region, leading to a further drop in the perceived temperature. Specifically, in parts of the Chungnam west coast, Jeolla coast, and central Jeonnam inland where strong wind advisories are in effect, very strong winds exceeding 70 km/h (20 m/s) will blow until the morning of the 24th.

On the 24th, the country will generally be clear, but the skies over Jeolla and Jeju will be cloudy. Snow or rain is expected in Jeolla and Jeju from the 23rd to the morning of the 24th. The expected snowfall and precipitation will be around 1 to 5 cm and 5 mm.

The atmospheric conditions across the country will remain dry. Dry alerts are in effect in the metropolitan area, Gangwon, inland Chungcheong, eastern Jeonnam, and Gyeongsang regions. The Korea Meteorological Administration warned that small sparks could escalate into large fires due to strong winds, advising to refrain from using flames during outdoor activities and to thoroughly manage sparks from wood heaters and cigarette butts.

In the southwestern sea and off the southern coast, as well as the waters around Jeju and the central eastern sea where wave advisories are in effect, winds are expected to blow very strongly at speeds of 30 to 60 km/h (8 to 16 m/s) until the afternoon of the 24th, with waves reaching heights of 1.5 to 4.0 m, cautioning vessels navigating or operating in these areas.
