The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted on the 29th that the lowest temperature on the morning of the 30th, the last day of the Lunar New Year holiday, would drop to minus 17 degrees. Cold winds from the northwest are expected, and strong winds will make the perceived temperature even lower. In some areas of South Chungcheong Province and North Jeolla Province, around 1 cm of snow is expected.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the morning low temperature that day is forecasted to range from minus 17 degrees to minus 1 degree, while the highest temperature in the afternoon is predicted to range from minus 4 degrees to 8 degrees. Areas such as northern and eastern Gyeonggi Province, inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon Province, northern inland of South Chungcheong Province, and mid-northwestern Chungbuk Province are expected to see morning temperatures falling below minus 12 degrees.

The temperatures in major regions are as follows: Seoul (minus 9 degrees to 0 degrees), Chuncheon (minus 15 degrees to 0 degrees), Daejeon (minus 8 degrees to 3 degrees), and Daegu (minus 5 degrees to 6 degrees). The Korea Meteorological Administration said, "Please be cautious of freezing water meters and boilers."

The heavy snow that poured throughout the holiday has somewhat stopped. However, snow clouds are moving in from the West Sea, and light snow flurries are expected in some areas of South Chungcheong Province and North Jeolla Province in the morning. There may be black ice on the roads, so caution is advised for traffic safety during homecoming trips.
