On the third day of the Lunar New Year holiday and Monday, the 27th, heavy snow is expected nationwide.

By the 28th, the expected snowfall in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, and the western coastal areas will be 10 to 20 cm. In the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province and Jeju Island, more than 30 cm of snow is forecasted.

Additionally, 5 to 15 cm of snow is expected in Daejeon, Sejong, South Chungcheong, and North Chungcheong, while 3 to 10 cm is forecasted for northern inland Gyeongbuk, northeastern mountainous areas, and western inland Gyeongnam. In Daegu, southwestern inland Gyeongbuk, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo, 3 to 8 cm is expected, and 1 to 5 cm of snow is forecasted for the eastern coast of Gyeongbuk, central and southern inland areas of Gyeongnam.

The morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between -2 and 6 degrees, while the daytime highs are expected to be between 2 and 8 degrees. The concentration of fine dust will be at a level of "good" to "moderate" across all regions due to precipitation.

Waves in the sea will be 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the East Sea and South Sea coastal waters, and 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea coastal waters. For the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are predicted to be 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea and 1.0 to 5.5 meters in the West and South Seas.
