The Ministry of Personnel Management noted on the 24th that it has released information about this year's national civil servant career recruitment on the Cyber National Examination Center, Nara Job Portal, and various ministry websites.

The application process for the civil service career recruitment examination organized by the Ministry of Personnel Management will begin on Jan. 21 with the selection of 7th level local talent. This will be followed by the selection for the severely disabled on March 11, the bulk hiring of private sector professionals at the 5th and 7th levels on June 2, and the selection of 9th level local talent on July 28.

The planned number of local talent to be selected this year is 162 for the 7th level and 260 for the 9th level, totaling 422. Sixty-eight individuals will be selected from the severely disabled category. The number of private-sector professionals to be selected will be finalized in April.

The total number of career recruitment positions organized by 38 institutions is 1,603. Details such as the examination schedule, testing methods, and eligibility criteria will be posted on the respective institutions' websites by Feb. 7.

By institution, the Ministry of Science and ICT (Korea Post) has the largest number of positions at 651, followed by the Korean National Police Agency (332), the Korea Coast Guard (65), the Korea Customs Service (48), and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (47).

Vice Minister Park Yong-soo said, "By providing an integrated guide for the scale and schedule of career recruitment across all ministries, we have enhanced access for outstanding talents in various fields," and added, "I expect not only a qualitative improvement in civil servant hiring but also a significant increase in applicants' satisfaction."
