On the 14th, the legal team for President Yoon Suk Yeol said, "The Presidential Security Service reported an unidentified individual who led a meeting to unlawfully infiltrate military facilities after receiving military secrets from the Security Investigation Officer and the head of the Security Investigation Division 1 of the National Police Agency on this day, on suspicion of violating the Military Secret Protection Act."
The president's legal team claimed, "They summoned an officer from the security service to a hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, solely to execute an illegal and void warrant and gathered information on military facilities and security facilities." The legal team noted, "Moreover, they identified key information related to the security of the presidential residence, including the location and disarming method of vehicle barricade equipment, communication room location, staffing, and the characteristics of the commanding officer."
The legal team stated that their actions were not only crucial for the safety of the president but also involved military secrets within the military facility protection zone, posing a significant threat to national security if leaked to the public. They urged a thorough investigation and severe punishment for those involved.
The day before, the security service stated that it had put an officer, referred to as A, on standby for leaking internal secrets to the National Police Agency and warned that it would take legal action against the colluding National Police Agency officials.
