Bundang Seoul National University Hospital announced on the 19th that Jeong Han-gil, a professor of neurosurgery, has been appointed as the associate editor of the international journal 'Translational Stroke Research' in the field of stroke.

'Translational Stroke Research' is a journal that introduces studies on new treatment strategies for stroke and central nervous system injury based on basic science.

Professor Jeong has been recognized for his research capabilities while conducting studies related to stroke. In 2018, he received the 'Stroke Basic Science Award' from the International Stroke Conference for his achievements in stroke research.

As the associate editor of 'Translational Stroke Research', Professor Jeong is responsible for the review and editing of manuscripts submitted to the journal. It is expected that he will contribute to medical advancements by uncovering the latest research on neurological damage, immune response, and inflammation control based on his expertise in critical care of the nervous system and stroke research.

Professor Jeong said, "I will do my best to discover innovative research in the fields of stroke and neurocritical care and to promote academic exchange," and added, "I will contribute to the advancement of neuroscience and improve patient treatment outcomes by strengthening the connection between basic science and clinical research."
