Coupang Eats announced on the 20th that it will extend its 'no commission on delivery orders' policy for packaging orders to support mutual growth. The target is all stores participating in the platform.

Coupang Eats expects that by using the packaging order service, restaurant owners will have no delivery fees and will receive support for no commission fees from Coupang Eats, significantly reducing their burden while enhancing revenue.

This is a result of the self-regulation ongoing in the delivery app sector since 2023 and discussions through the Euljiro Committee's social dialogue forum regarding delivery apps. With this decision, Coupang Eats' free packaging commission support will continue until March of next year.

Starting in April, a new mutual growth fee system will be implemented, significantly reducing fees by up to 7.8-2% compared to the previous rates. A Coupang Eats representative said, “We decided to provide free packaging commission support to lessen the burden on restaurant owners facing difficulties due to economic downturn and high inflation and to expand sales opportunities.”
