GS25 announced on the 23rd that it will exclusively showcase Sunyang Oak soju on the 27th and Han Young-seok Cheongmyeongju batch 18 on the 4th of next month in the convenience store industry.
Sunyang Oak soju is a diluted soju containing 11% distilled soju made from rice aged in oak barrels.
Han Young-seok Cheongmyeongju batch 18 is a product that modernly reinterprets the famous traditional liquor Cheongmyeongju from the Joseon Dynasty by Han Young-seok, the first traditional nuruk master in South Korea.
GS25 reported that as a result of pre-ordering Han Young-seok Cheongmyeongju batch 18 through the 'Our Neighborhood GS' app's Wine 25 Plus from the 11th to the 14th, all 1,200 bottles were sold out in four days.
Lee Ha-rim, the merchandise director of the alcohol team at GS Retail, said, “We plan to expand unique K-alcohol to match the consumer trend that values new experiences, and we will actively introduce excellent traditional liquors from small-scale breweries this year while also working on developing new products at reasonable prices.”
