The Lotte Foundation announced on the 27th that it has published a biography titled 'The Dream of Shin Kyuk-ho: The Footprints of Lotte Group CEOs,' which contains various anecdotes about the late honorific chairman of Lotte Group, Shin Kyuk-ho.

To mark the occasion, the Lotte Foundation held a publishing commemorative event at Lotte Hotel Seoul the day before.

The biography has been published in three languages, including Korean, English, and Japanese, with the 'Shin Kyuk-ho Readers Forum' overseeing the project and supported by the Lotte Foundation.

In particular, this biography was not written solely by the author but was collaboratively penned by former executives who built the group alongside the late honorific chairman, which allows readers to verify the management philosophy and leadership represented by ▲field management ▲responsible management ▲corporations serving the nation, along with various anecdotes.

Earlier, in June, the Lotte Foundation held a writing contest titled 'The Shin Kyuk-ho Chairman I Experienced' for former Lotte Group executives as preliminary work for this biography, and they planned for publication by compiling over 50 writings gathered through this contest.

The foundation actively utilized AI publishing technology in collaboration with the AI-based publishing company REPETO AI based on these manuscripts.

In particular, the AI publishing technology from REPETO AI restored black-and-white photos of the late honorific chairman to color and accurately created illustrations. Additionally, they were able to shorten production time and enhance quality, the Lotte Foundation noted.

At the publishing commemorative event, more than 100 attendees, including Shin Young-ja, the eldest daughter of the late honorific chairman, and the granddaughter Jang Hye-sun, chairperson of the Lotte Scholarship Foundation, along with Lee Dong-ho, former CEO of Lotte Hotel Busan, as well as former executives from Lotte affiliates and foundation officials, gathered to celebrate the publication of the biography.

Chairperson Jang Hye-sun said, 'My grandfather (the late honorific chairman Shin Kyuk-ho) was so humble that if he had seen this book, he would have said, “Why did you go to such unnecessary lengths?” but he would have been very pleased inside.' She added, 'I would like to express my gratitude to the former Lotte Group executives who greatly helped in completing this meaningful biography based on their experiences working with the honorific chairman.'
