'Earth Hour' is the world's largest climate crisis response campaign organized by the non-profit conservation organization World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

The event, which began in 2007, involves participating in a blackout for one hour from 8:30 p.m. on the last Saturday of March every year to share the seriousness of climate change and contribute to energy conservation and carbon emission reduction.

In its 19th year, the event will hold a blackout for one hour from 8:30 p.m. on the 22nd at the 'Grand Seoul,' the headquarters of GS Engineering and Construction located in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and at the 'GS Engineering and Construction R&D Center in Seocho' and 'Elysian Gangchon, Jeju.'

GS Group and its affiliates, including GS Tower, GS Gangseo Tower, InterContinental Seoul COEX Hotel, and Nine Tree Parnas, plan to hold events at various locations.

A representative from GS Engineering and Construction noted, 'Through participation in Earth Hour, we will actively engage in eco-friendly campaigns for climate change policies, energy savings, and carbon emission reductions,' adding, 'As we enter the era of environmental, social, and governance (ESG), we will strive to lead the industry in the eco-friendly institutional sector.'

GS Engineering and Construction earned an integrated rating of 'A' (Excellent) in the '2024 ESG Evaluation Ratings for Listed Companies' announced last year by the Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS), marking six consecutive years of receiving an integrated 'A' rating since 2019. GS Engineering and Construction plans to continuously discover and promote eco-friendly new businesses.
