The area around Pyeongtaek Station, which opened in 1905, is transforming to the point that the term 'sangjeonbyeokhae' seems inadequate. The square of Pyeongtaek Station, built 120 years ago, is currently undergoing construction for the 'Pyeongtaek Station Complex Cultural Square,' which includes a 'Grand Arcade' harmonized with water, an 'Urban Stage' for various events and festivals, and an underground pedestrian passage that connects the surrounding commercial area, with plans for completion set for next year.
In Pyeongtaek's District 1, redevelopment of a residential complex comprising hotels, officetels, and over 1,800 housing units is in progress, while the reconstruction of nearby aging complexes is also accelerating. The 300,000 square meters of Anseongcheon embankment is nearing completion as the 'Noul Eco-Park,' featuring a walking path along the sunset river, a water reed gallery, a waterfront square, and a multipurpose track.
Notably, in the 'Tongbok District 2,' a 49-story skyscraper called 'The Platinum Skyheron' will stand out as a landmark of Pyeongtaek. This complex will consist of 784 residential units ranging from 84 square meters to 134 square meters (including penthouses), along with 50 officetel units ranging from 113 to 118 square meters, totaling four buildings. Anyone aged 19 and over can sign a contract regardless of residence, subscription bank account, or ownership of dwellings.
For the first time in Pyeongtaek, concierge services equivalent to a hotel will be introduced for residents, including secretary services, breakfast delivery, mobile car washing, tax consultant consultations, life care, pet care, and delivery reservation, alongside specialized designs applied to all types of alpha rooms, four bays, and three open sides.
In front of the complex, the Tongbok Market and the central commercial district surrounding Pyeongtaek Station, along with AK Plaza, CGV, and Emart, are well-equipped with living infrastructure, and there are also abundant green natural spaces like Tongbokcheon Waterfront Park, Anseongcheon, and the planned Noul Eco-Cultural Park.
The complex is located within walking distance of Pyeongtaek Station, allowing easy access to Line 1 and SRT from Pyeongtaek Jije Station, as well as the KTX from Suwon, which is set to open in 2025. Once the GTX-A and GTX-C lines are extended, travel to Gangnam, Seoul, can be completed in about 30 minutes, and there are over 40 city bus routes stopping at the bus stop in front of the complex, making public transport convenient.
Through the confirmed entrance of Jongno M School within the complex, residents' children will receive one year of free education and an additional year of 50% discount benefits, and there are various educational infrastructures including Seongdong Kindergarten, Pyeongtaek Central Elementary School, Hangwang Middle and High School, the Vision City Library, and the academy streets of Bijeondong and Hapjeongdong.
