In the Yongdu District 1 Area 2 of the Cheongnyangni Redevelopment Promotion Zone in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, the height restriction is being relaxed from 27 floors to 49 floors. The supply area, which primarily consisted of small units, will also be increased to improve the living environment.
The Seoul city government announced on the 26th that it revised and passed the promotion plan for the redevelopment of the Yongdu 1 District Area 2 in the vicinity of 23-8 Yongdu-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, during the second urban redevelopment committee meeting held on the 25th.
During the deliberation, the height regulation was relaxed from '90m, 27 floors or less' to '155m, 49 floors or less,' allowing for the establishment of a harmonious height plan considering the landscape within the Cheongnyangni and Wangsimni metropolitan centers as outlined in the 2040 Urban Master Plan.
The small urban-type living houses and officetels, ranging from 21㎡ to 45㎡, were changed to 242 units of multi-family housing at the 59㎡ (25 pyeong) national housing size. The supply area of public rental housing will also be expanded to the 59㎡ size, with plans to supply 11 units of 'My Home' for newlyweds.
The 'Residential Safety Comprehensive Center' operated by the Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) is scheduled to open in the area and will provide housing welfare services to local residents.
