The Ministry of Health and Welfare said on the 27th that it will recruit participants for the "2026 senior jobs and social activity support project" from the 28th to Dec. 26. The government will provide 1,152,000 senior jobs next year.
Recruitment types are divided by the nature of the jobs into ▲ senior public interest activity projects ▲ senior competency utilization projects ▲ community project groups. The senior competency utilization projects and community project groups are open to those 60 and older, and the senior public interest activity projects are open to seniors 65 and older who receive the basic pension. Once selected, participants will work in tasks such as assisting with meal service at senior centers, supporting community integrated care, "nono (old-to-old) care" (older adults caring for older adults), and safety management.
Inquiries can be made to the representative hotline for senior job counseling (☎ 1544-3388), or by visiting the Community Service Center (former dong office), senior clubs, senior welfare centers, or the Korean Senior Citizens Association in the city, county, or district of one's address. Online applications can be made on the "Senior Jobs Here" website at https://www.seniorro.or.kr:4431/.
Participants are selected according to criteria such as income level, activity competence, and experience. Final selection results will be individually notified from mid-December this year to early Jan. 2026.
