The People Power Party said, "We will realize a major transformation in which the AI (artificial intelligence) industry naturally integrates into people's lives through building an AI ecosystem and expanding the daily use of AI," and noted that it would reflect this in its promises for the 20th presidential election on the 11th.

Kim Sang-hoon, the chair of the party's policy committee overseeing the 20th presidential election promises, stated at a meeting of the party's standing committee held in the National Assembly on the morning of the same day, "The People Power Party will lead the development of the AI industry," and emphasized that "the deep concerns of the public regarding the weakening competitiveness of the AI industry will be thoroughly reflected in this presidential election promise."

Chairman Kim noted, "We will actively consider measures such as the rapid establishment of a fund for advanced strategic industries, the refinement of the investment system through private cooperation, and the increase of budgets for advanced industries such as AI."

He added, "In addition, we will also pursue a systematic infrastructure build-out of the AI industry as a golden key to overcoming the low-growth era, including fostering and increasing the utilization of core AI talents, and establishing a talent circulation structure through industry-academic collaboration for technology development."

Chairman Kim commented on the supplementary budget that the government is expected to submit, saying, "It doesn't matter if the budget items requested by the Democratic Party and the budget items requested by the People Power Party are not reflected," while urging, "I hope the government will place greater emphasis on budgeting work with particular attention to areas that boost the economy for people's livelihoods."

He stated, "This supplementary budget seems likely to be for the wildfire recovery, AI initiatives, and tariffs, but we believe more emphasis should also be placed on aspects that provide recovery and revitalization for people's livelihoods and the economy."
