A poll result showed on the 31st that the approval ratings of the People Power Party and the Democratic Party have widened beyond the margin of error.
According to a party support survey conducted by Realmeter at the request of the Energy Economy Newspaper from March 26 to 28 (4th week of March) targeting 1,510 voters aged 18 and older nationwide, the People Power Party recorded 36.1% and the Democratic Party recorded 47.3%.
Compared to a week ago, the People Power Party dropped by 3.9 percentage points (p), while the Democratic Party rose by 3.7 p. The gap between the two parties increased from 3.6 p last week to 11.2 p this week, widening beyond the margin of error.
Following are the Justice Party (3.7%), the Reform Party (2.3%), and the Progressive Party (1.0%). The percentage of those who said they do not support any party was 7.9%.
In the preference survey for the next presidential election, 57.1% favored 'a change in government by the opposition,' while 37.8% favored 'an extension of the ruling party's government.' 5.1% responded that they 'do not know.'
Compared to a week ago, the opinion for government change rose by 3.2 p, while the opinion for government extension dropped by 2.6 p.
In the suitability survey for next presidential candidates, Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party leader, ranked first with 49.5%. He was followed by Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo (16.3%), Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo (7.1%), former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon (6.7%), and Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon (4.8%).
